Sunday of races and great satisfaction for him Judo Club Ventimiglia.

The athletes Iamundo, Padova e Daltoè took part in the regional qualifying phases in view of the national finals of the Italian Championships of their respective classes, followed in the race by the coaches Antonella and Katya Iannucci.

The day ended in a triumphal manner for the colors of the Judo Club Ventimiglia: three first places and three passes won for the Italian Championships.

The young man was the first to get on the tatami Riccardo Daltoè in the Beginners category up to 73kg. Very tough category and extremely difficult qualification with only one place available for the Finals. Four matches played and final victory which underline the athlete’s good form and, above all, growth and constant improvement. The national final of Italian Beginners Championships will be ad Olbia on May 25th.

Then it was the experts’ turn Maruska Iamundo (57kg) e Lorenzo Padua (81kg) who took part in the qualification of Italian Overall Championships (reserved for black belts) which will take place on May 11th and 12th Perugia. Both winners of their respective weight categories, they deserve particular praise because they are athlete-workers and, to reconcile work with training, they really make a lot of sacrifices but the passion for judo is stronger than the effort.

“We are extremely satisfied with this excellent team result,” comments the company. “All the athletes had an excellent race and achieved their goal of qualifying, each with their own personal path and history. We work every day with the utmost commitment in favor of our boys and girls and we are proud to have represented our city, Ventimiglia, in national-level sport for 53 years.”
