Judo, Savita Russo wins the bronze in the -57 kg of the Cadet World Championships in Sarajevo – OA Sport

The third day of the 2022 World Cadet Judo World Championships on the Sarajevo tatami has been archived. In Bosnian land, the Bel Paese won the fourth medal in the series, that is bronze in the female -57 kg category.

The reference is to Savita Russo, author of a great journey in the world championship. Excellent against the Greek Galini Sirinidou, the Bulgarian Snezhana Gramatikova and the Kazakh Dana Abdirova, the blue in the semifinal had to surrender to the Brazilian Bianca Reis who in the preliminary phase had blocked the way to Gaia Stellaafter the latter had impressed against American Danielle Pekler.

In the final for the bronze the Sicilian had an aggressive approach against the Polish Julia Bulanda from the first hajimè and with extreme authority she concluded with an excellent throw worth the waza-ari. A category in which the Indian Linthoi Chanambam won gold, while the silver went to Reis. Bronze for Russo and the Latvian Anna Guilte.

In the -81 kg men Francesco Sansonetti finished in seventh place, having pushed himself to the quarter-finals thanks to the victories against the Georgian Mate Chapurishvili and the Austrian Ronald Proell. The race ended in the presence of the Ukrainian Igor Tsurkan and there was no way to recover in the recoveries against the Greek Panagiotis Kyvelidis. Immediate elimination, however, for Tommaso Perfetti, beaten by the Serbian Dusan Grahovac. A category where Armenian Gor Karapetyan took gold around his neck, while the podium was completed by Uzbek Alisher Samanov, Serbian Dusan Grahovac and Tsurkan.

Eliminated in the second round Serena Maddaloni in the -63 kg women. The blue, after defeating the Australian Marissa Finka, raised the white flag in front of the South Korean Euna Koh. The gold was then won by the Turkish Sinem Oruc, while the silver was the prerogative of the Austrian Franziska Schloegl. Uzbek Khurshida Razzokberdieva and Slovakian Khurshida Razzokberdieva were dyed bronze.

In the -73 kg men little to do for our standard bearers: Lucio Tablet was eliminated by Brazilian Antonio Medeiros Neto and Danilo Article he was immediately ousted from the competition by the American Kai Wallace. This category in which the Japanese Keito Kihara placed his seal, with the silver going to the Georgian Luka Javakhishvili and the bronzes obtained by the other Georgian Giorgi Mishvelidze and the Uzbek Giorgi Mishvelidze.
