Latvian national team midfielder Jānis Ikaunieks scored the only goal in Lahti on Wednesday against the club represented by Eduard Emš, Kuopio “KuPS” entering the final of the Finnish Cup.
Kuopio “KuPS” defeated “Lahti” represented by Eduard Emš 1:0 (1:0) on the road.
Ikaunieks scored in the 14th minute, received a yellow card in the 55th minute and was replaced in the 72nd minute.
Emsis spent the whole game on the pitch, receiving a yellow card during first half stoppage time.
The Kuopio team remained in the minority already in the 15th minute, when goalkeeper Otso Virtanen earned a red card.
Also in the second semi-final on Wednesday, Helsinki did not go without being sent off, Turku “Inter” beating Helsinki HIFK 3:2 (1:1) as guests.
