Chinese world top players too strong for Debora Jille and Ties van der Lecq

Mark Caljouw sold his skin dearly against the world’s number one, Viktor Axelsen, at the 2022 Badminton World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.

In the first game, the Dutchman was close to winning, but narrowly lost 21-19. In the beginning of the second game it was still even, but after that Axelsen ran out to a 21-10 victory.

Ties van der Lecq lost with Ruben Jille (WR-42) in the first round of the men’s doubles 21-14 and 21-17 against Lee Jhe-Huei / Yang Po-Hsuan (WR-40) from Taiwan.
