Top tour in Constance – German Judo Federation

As part of the Judo Top Tour, the Judo Club Konstanz was given the honor of hosting a course in the Schänzle Hall. National team athlete Martyna Trajdos inspired the young judoka with her likeable manner in carrying out the program.

The course, which was already designed for a small size in advance, was not fully booked on the day of the event. It was therefore a unique experience for the participating young judoka. When do you ever get such an individual training from a multiple German champion?!

Training mit Martyna Trajdos

She showed small details that are crucial for the functioning of the technique in competition. In the ground fight, the 2019 World Cup bronze medalist showed that even a simple technique can lead to victory with a frequently used liberation from a leg clamp.

It was particularly exciting for the judo kids to be able to try out their warm-up program themselves until shortly before a competition.

During the family question time, Martyna talked about her everyday training routine, her professional challenges and life as a competitive athlete. She trains five days a week with a training effort of about 4.5 hours a day. She is also constantly on the move and takes part in competitions and training camps around the world. The qualification for the next Olympic Games has already started and will take almost two years. An extreme physical and mental strain.

The young athletes were encouraged by their sporting careers. At the beginning of her competitive career, Martyna Trajdos was not particularly successful. She impressively conveyed to the inquisitive judoka that in order to achieve one’s own goals, one must always keep at it and, above all, believe in oneself. This also includes working on yourself – not only after defeats, but also after successes.

Another highlight was the individual photo session with Martyna, during which the youngsters were allowed to hold the Olympic bronze medal in their hands with sparkling eyes.
