The World Subchampions are already in Spain

The Spanish U17F team has come home after completing its magical participation in the World Cup in Hungary. During her visit to the Madrid-Barajas Airport, the coach Cristina Cantero analyzed the team’s trajectory during these almost 40 days of work that ended with the best prize: a brilliant silver medal.
The Coach Cristina Cantero feels proud because the U17F has broadcast “illusion, desire and the strength to be a team”. Values that, accompanied by sports results, entail “a smile on the face that no one can take away from us”.
“The victory over Canada was very important, it gives us the feeling that we can, that we are going to be a very good team. Then came two very different basketballs, Egypt and Korea and then Mali, which cost us. Knowing how to suffer there caused us a little doubt, but when the team gets so good against Australia in the quarterfinals, it gives us serenity, so much so that it was difficult for us to start against France, but we realized that we could be very, very competitive”, said Cantero about the trajectory of the Selection during the Championship.
This medal has been the third of a dream start to summer. “Training basketball in Spain has a very good level. Everyone is working very well, when you arrive what you do is give them a little shape but they come from their clubs. That this does not stop and that the players continue to come from all places, from all corners “he indicated.
