Juan Soto new “king” of the MLB home run

Dominican baseball player Juan Soto, figure of the Washington Nationals, was crowned champion of the 2022 Home Run Festival of the Big leagues (MLB).

The 23-year-old outfielder always hit after his opponent and had to overcome a deficit to advance in each round until he lifted the trophy, reports the Lider portal.

In the first phase, Soto hit 18 “homers” to leave his compatriot José Ramírez, the undisputed leader of the now Cleveland Guardians, on the road.

Later, the native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, took 16 balls out of the park to eliminate Albert Pujols, who lived a special night receiving the support of all the fans and players present at the legendary Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

Already in the purely Dominican grand final, “La Fiera” Soto hit 19 home runs to beat Julio Rodríguez (J-Rod).
