The athletes summoned to represent Spain in the Spanish International Sub17 that takes place in Ibiza from September 16 to 18 are already known.
The national team put together by coach Ernesto García includes ten athletes born in 2007 from five Autonomous Communities and nine clubs. On the other hand, the technicians who will lead the Spanish team are Roberto González and Manuel Brea.
The athletes summoned are: Ismael Oballe (Ibiza), Alejandro Gallego and Alejandro Yagües (Huesca), Yulien Gil (Portmany), Rubén Carreras (Recreational IES La Orden), Macarena Fernández (Almería), Ángela Jiménez (Huelva), Rocío Martín ( Benalmádena), Daniela Corchón (Soria) and Alba Prada (San Amaro).
Spanish badminton has managed to shine in the last international tournaments played in Spain, as seen in the medal bath of the Iberdrola Spanish Junior International in Gandía o el Benalmadena Andalusian Spanish Open, donde our athletes were on 7 of the 10 championship podiums, achieving a total of 14 medals. The Ibiza International opens a new door for the Spanish badminton academy to once again stand out on the international scene.
