Standard loses against PAOK (0-1)

After a serious start to the game, with a good set-up, the Rouches suffered more and ran behind the ball more often. The consequence was a conceded goal despite a very good first save from Bodart (Koutsias, 0-1, 37th).

With the same team as that lined up on Wednesday, Ronny Deila did not see the offensive conversions he wanted to see and called for more solidarity at halftime.

The second period was not richer in opportunity, which is a concern. For the fourth time in five friendlies, Standard conceded first. Against a well-organized and fairly aggressive PAOK formation, the Rouches were unable to make the difference despite the contributions of Dragus then Avenatti. Amallah has again been spared.

Ronny Deila said he was satisfied, despite the defeat, with what he saw: “We played our best game of the preparation. We conceded few chances and it’s a shame to concede this goal. We Could have done better things, but I’m happy with the attitude and discipline of the guys.”

But: 37th Koutsias (0-1)
