Korean women’s badminton singles ace Ahn Se-young (Samsung Life Insurance) advanced to the finals of the Malaysian Masters Badminton Championships.

Se-Young Ahn defeated Gregoria Mariska Tunjung (Indonesia) 2-1 (21-18 13-21 21-8) in the women’s singles semifinal of the 2022 Malaysia Masters Badminton Championships held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the 9th.

Ahn Se-young, who won the victory by scoring seven consecutive goals in the first set 12-9, faced a crisis by conceding eight points in a row to the opponent, but calmly raised the remaining two points to win the first set. In the second set, he gave up due to poor concentration in the middle of the game, but he scored five consecutive goals in the third set and finished the third set 21-8.

Ahn Se-young will play the final match on the afternoon of the 10th with the winner of the match between Chen Yupei (China) and Tai Ziying (Taiwan).

After winning the Korean Open in April, Ahn Se-young, who was in a difficult condition, made it to the final of the international competition in three months and is aiming for her second victory this season.
