In the days 28-29-30-31 July Parma will host the 35th edition of Youth Baseball and Softball Tournament “Two Towers” – “La Giovane SCpA” Group combined with 17th Memorial “Mario Bacchi Stefani“, Organized by Oltretorrente Group. The awaited appointment for fans of “beat and run” is back, with some new features compared to past editions. The match of the tournament to the memory of is confirmed Mario Bacchi Stefania yellow-blue executive who died prematurely in June 2003. The Memorial, now in its 17th edition, will be an occasion to remember Marco Capelli, Italo Gazza, Paolo Rizzardi and Arturo Gastone Tommasini to which four fair-play prizes are dedicated respectively in the under 14 baseball, under 15 softball, under 13 softball and under 18 baseball categories. Collaboration with associations has also been confirmed “Noi per Loro ”and AIDO section of Parma.

It will be an event intended with 5 tournaments fielded: two to 6 teams (Under 18 baseball and Under 13 softball) and three tournaments with 4 teams (Under 12 baseball, Under 14 baseball and Under 15 softball). I’m 24 teams involved (which become 25 with the “Centromac” baseball school Parma 2001) divided into five categories, with teams from all over Italy. Confirmations for Fortitudo 1953 and Pianoro Softball. In softball, Bollate 1969 Softball, Pianoro, Sanremese and Stars Ronchi’s debut with two teams will return. The province will be represented with the teams of Junior Parma, Crocetta BC, Sala Baganza and Collecchio baseball and softball. The age of the athletes varies from seven years of the youngest to eighteen of the oldest. In the space of four days approximately 60 gare in which about 800 people between athletes, technicians, managers, collaborators and accompanying aggregates.

The demonstration game of Special Olympics, scheduled for Saturday 30 July, starting at 19.00, at camp n.3. The special athletes will compete together in mixed ranks, with the support of technicians and instructors and the involvement of the boys and girls of the baseball-softball school.

The official presentation ceremony of the Tournament will be held Thursday 28 July, at 9.00 pm, at camp no. 3 of the “Aldo Notari” sports center.
