Ostapenko repairs ante Begu en Wimbledon

He has done a very good preparation prior to Wimbledon showing a very high level of tennis and he came to this match having won clear victories against Dodin in the first round and against Wickmayer in the second round. Ostapenko started falling against Begu in a first set where there was not much order from the Latvian player. She did not find the sensations with the service and that ended up driving her crazy to lose it three times.

From the second Ostapenko dealt better with the tempos of the event and surpassed himself. He managed to make his first shot a great ally without showing any break balls in the second set and three in the third. Even so, there was no break in service. Furthermore, he confirmed 20 winners while competing in those last two rounds that managed to be the end of his comeback. Ostapenko managed to defeat Irina Camelia Begu in the third round of Wimbledon in this match that opened the day on Friday at the All England Tennis Club.
