Orlegi will present a rise in Sporting season tickets to increase the salary cap

Sporting will soon present a rise in receipts in its new subscriber campaign. Orlegi proposes this measure with the objective that it serve to increase the salary cap and to adjust to the current inflation scenario. This rise will be the first to take place since 2015, when Sporting was promoted to First Division. That season and the following one the prices were maintained, to reduce them in 2017 with the descent to Second. Since then the fees have been frozen. What will be respected for the 2022-2023 academic year will be the discount on the receipt for those members of option A, who have pending the return of 50 percent of the payment from two courses ago.

Yesterday, the club informed the two supporters’ club associations of its intention to raise prices, although without specifying the exact amount. They did so after a round of contacts with the fans, with the presidents of the Federation of Peñas Sportinguistas and Unipes, where the Anselmo López Association also joined. The three representatives conveyed their good impressions after Orlegi’s first contact with the fans. “The sensations are good, they transferred their intention to maintain fluid and close dealings with the fans,” they stressed.

From Orlegi they justify the decision to raise the subscriptions to adjust to the current economic situation, with a general rise in prices, and also to try to obtain income that allows them to raise the salary cap, which for the next course will be between the zone low average, after the bad classification of the past course. The new owners, who also plan to carry out a capital increase in order to raise that cap, also want to ensure this means of payment in order to be able to carry out a competitive sports project and this initiative will allow them to improve the workforce. A kind of vote of confidence that they request from the fan, but that they will also seek to be reciprocal, giving value to the fact of being a member, that they feel valued.

“It will be necessary to see how much the rise is to assess it, but if that effort is to improve the team, it can be understood, as well as the justification for inflation, because all prices have risen many and it is something inevitably normal,” said Jorge Guerrero. , president of the Federation of Peñas. “There was chemistry in the first meeting with the club, we left very happy,” he added. For his part, Adrián Núñez, president of Unipes, was optimistic after the meeting with “the idea that was conveyed to us that fans are going to be important”, and underlined the rise in season tickets: “First we will have to see the figure , if it is little or a lot, if it is to improve in sports and also in another area related to the fans, that we can have some benefit, it can be accepted”. Mario Carriles, from the Anselmo López Association, commented on his part that “in the first contact we liked that there was an intention to maintain fluidity with the fans, the sensations are good”.

Sporting closed with just over 18,500 subscribers last season. A figure that the club hopes to at least maintain in the next one.
