NHL | Will Krejci return to Boston? We are in contact, the Bruins manager confirmed

Even a few weeks after the end of the season, the future of the experienced striker is not clear. Krejčí, thanks to a successful year with a bronze peak at the World Championships in Finland, confirmed that at thirty-six years old he is far from an old iron. Nevertheless, there is quite a lot of talk about the end of the career. However, there are two more options, namely an extension of the stay in Olomouc or a comeback to Boston.

It is the last possibility that seems to be the most likely at the moment. Bruins general manager Don Sweeney is in constant contact with the player, but even he himself does not currently know where Krejčí’s steps will lead. “I am in contact with him and his agents,” the general manager for overseas media admitted.

“He is spending a lot of time with his family now, thinking about what to do. But the interviews went well, I feel good about it. Now it’s just a matter of when David finally decides and if we will be the place where he goes,” added Sweeney, who has no choice but to wait for the final word.

Former teammate David Pastrňák could also contribute to a return to the Boston Bears jersey. After the recent World Championship in Finland, the native of Havířovsk made no secret of the fact that he would try to persuade his ten years older colleague. Only the following days or weeks will show whether it was successful.

A few days after the championship, Krejčí went back to America to the family residence in South Carolina. It is the postseason well-being that should help him unravel the mystery of his hockey future. “I will calmly think about what to do next. There is enough time and many possibilities, one of which is very real is to continue in the Olomouc jersey,” said the experienced forward less than a month ago.
