A month after the announcement of a Paris Basketball match at Roland Garros, the opponent is now known: it will be AS Monaco.
Decidedly, Paris Basketball likes to take advantage of the arrival of AS Monaco to create the event. After hosting the Roca Team in front of 8,500 people at the AccorArena last March, the club from the capital will now face the team from the Principality on the Philippe-Chatrier court at Roland Garros. This is one of the main lessons of the calendar, revealed at the start of the week by the LNB.
The meeting will take place on Sunday October 16 at 3 p.m., in a configuration of between 8,000 and 12,000 spectators.
“We are always on the lookout for ideas to grow our brand and introduce Paris Basketball to a wider audience,” explains President David Kahn. “The Roland-Garros stadium is an iconic place not only for tennis but for sport in general in France and internationally. Paris is full of emblematic places, I hope that this will not be the last match that Paris Basketball will play in a place like this. »
