Rather than send encouragement to his fellow Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy, LIV player Graeme McDowell posted a delirious message on his twitter account which did not fail to make the community react.
Gone to play on the LIV Golf, Graeme McDowell certainly took part in his last The Open in 2019 at Portrush.
Now ranked beyond the 300th place in the world, the former player of Ryder Cup seems to have no illusions about his future performance and has therefore opted for the lucrative exhibition circuit.
Heavily criticized by his supporters, he recently regretted the harsh comments he received by turning his back on historic circuits and over-promoting LIV Golf in a meaningless video.

Blasphemy
A situation that is not likely to get better with this new release on social networks in which he wonders about playing time in the 1st round of The Open and wonders if shot gun starts (!) (yes, you read that right), like on his new circuit, wouldn’t be a solution!
Quality viewing @TheOpen. The unpredictability of The Old Course from bounces to weather is unlike anything in golf. Can’t turn it off. Thinking pace of play might have improved with a shotgun start? What you guys think?

Remember that the players at the start of the oldest tournament in the world have always started from 1. A sacred tradition that McDowell seems to want to revise!
