Second weekend of the championship in the Eusko Label Liga for Club Remo Ares, this time with a full date at VI Bandeira in A Coruña, held on Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday things did not start well for Ares, with a controversial start, including a protest, where they had to row against the current (and never better said) to achieve provisional second place in the first round, with a time of 20:48 .14, passing two seconds before Lekittarra Elecnor and leaving Ondarroa Cikiauto and Itsasoko Ama-Sotera behind. After the other two batches, the Ares Rowing Club achieved seventh place and adding six points in the general classification, in an event in which Bermeo Urdaibai prevailed.
On Sunday, the Aresanos started for the first time of the season in the second round, already knowing the times obtained by Ondarroa Cikautxo, Cabo da Cruz, Itsasoko Ama-Sotera and Ziérbana Bahías de Bizkaia. The Aresanos sought to continue adding points, but they came in third at the finish line, with a time of 20:38.50, passing in front of Santa Olalla de Lubre Kaiku Berez Galanta and Getaria, while Lekittarra Elecnor passed behind. After the last round, the Aresanos obtained tenth place and another three points, beating Bermeo Urdaibai again.
With these results, the Ares Rowing Club moves up one place in the general classification, now occupying 10th, with 13 points. Next weekend they will have another double date. On Saturday at the Orioko XXXII Estropada – Orio Kampina X. Bandera, in Orio and on Sunday at the XXXIX Bandera Petronor, in Ziérbana.
