Devin Booker (Phoenix) and Ja Morant (Memphis) will extend their contracts

Several contract extensions for star NBA players were announced on Thursday through US media, mainly ESPN and The Athletic, on the eve of the opening of the transfer market. Among the players affected are Devin Booker and Ja Morant, the stars of the Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies respectively.

Booker is said to be on the verge of finalizing a four-year extension with the Arizona franchise, NBA finalist in 2021, No. 1 in the regular season this year but eliminated in the conference semifinals by Dallas. The amount of this extension would be between 214 and 224 million dollars.

$193 to $231 million for Morant

Morant would have agreed with the Grizzlies on a new five-year contract worth between 193 and 231 million dollars. Bradley Beal (Washington Wizards) would have agreed with the franchise of the US capital for a five-year extension and 251 million dollars. Karl-Anthony Towns would continue with the Minnesota Timberwolves for four years and an amount ranging from 214 to 224 million dollars.
