Derry City and Sligo Rovers flow details confirmed ahead of European ties

Derry City and Sligo Rovers return to European action in the Europa Conference League this week, with the pair looking to launch deep continental battles.

In the European third-tier competition, Candistrips will meet Riga FK of Latvia, and Sligo Rovers will face the Welsh team Bala Town.

With big prize money on offer to decide the winners, both clubs hope they can go far in the competition. However, before they can even think about it, they have to go through the initial relationship.

Derry City vs. Riga.

“Derry City” will host the Riga team at Ryan McBride’s Brandywell in the first match of the Europa League qualifiers on Thursday evening.

The Candystripes are set to kick off at 7.45pm on Foyleside.

The game will also be broadcast live on LOI TV, with Derry City confirming broadcast details on Wednesday morning.

Sligo Rovers x Pala Town.

Sligo Rovers, on the other hand, visit Welsh side Bala Town for their opening game in the Conference League, looking to right the wrongs of a dismal 2021 European campaign.

Bit O’ Red were knocked out of Europe by Iceland’s FH last season, but the upcoming European draw gives them a real chance to make it through this year’s tour.

Sligo, who play their first game at Oswestry, kick off their European campaign at 7.45pm on Thursday night. The match will be available to watch via the broadcast on the Bala Town website which can be accessed here.
