Mission accomplished for the JC Cortaillod judokas. The Littoral athletes achieved great performances on Saturday on the occasion of the second day of League A interclubs organized in Corcelles. The daughters of coach Désirée Gabriel won three matches against Oensingen (8-2), Saint-Gall (8-2) and JKL Taïga de Lausanne (8-2). The only downside, the judokas from Carcoises lost to Uster (6-4) in their second fight. In the standings, JC Cortaillod is in second place with 13 points and is 7 points behind the leader, Uster.
The struggling men
The day turned out to be more complicated for the men’s team of JC Cortaillod who were playing the 3e day of League A interclubs. Opposed to the leader of the classification, Uster, the judokas of the edge of the lake lost during the two meetings Saturday in Corcelles, each time on the score of 8-6. The team from Carcoise remains second in the standings for the moment with 7 points, but has two matches more than its pursuers.
The last day of Judo League A interclubs will take place on October 1 in Uster for both women and men. /gjo
