BVB: Borussia Dortmund signs Sébastien Haller – Bundesliga

Hello, king transfer!

Dortmund bring Sebastien Haller (28). Now the official announcement of the change followed, which was only a formality.

BILD already reported on June 19 about the upcoming transfer hammer. The top scorer in the Dutch league (21 goals) also signed his 4-year contract on June 23. At the request of ex-club Ajax, the change has only now been announced.

BVB manager Sebastian Kehl (42): “With his experience, he can give our young players support and stability on the offensive. In the talks with us, he made it clear that he would like to achieve something with BVB.”

Haller gets Haaland’s number 9: Now Terzic has his title eleven!

Haller is the most expensive striker in Dortmund’s club history. Borussia transferred around 31 million euros for the Ivorian. The bonus payments can increase this sum to 34.5 million euros. This makes Haller – together with Mats Hummels on his return in 2019 – the most expensive purchase in the club’s history. In the pot, the ex-Frankfurter (from 2017 – 2019) should also be able to earn up to 10 million euros with bonuses.

He is the 1-to-1 successor to Erling Haaland (21/to Man City), and also takes over his jersey number “9”. And has high goals.

Haller says in the first club interview: “Dortmund is of course not the only one, but Bayern’s biggest rival. Of course, our goal is to stand up to them and come first. Why not?”

► Dortmund’s master plan – Kehl pumped around 90 million euros into the XXL upheaval. With Süle, Schlotterbeck, Adeyemi, Özcan and now Haller, Bayern should be put under a lot more pressure again. In addition, BVB wants to present itself better in the cup competitions than last year.

The final transfer question mark: the left-back position. It is still unclear whether Raphael Guerreiro (28) will leave. Dortmund are still thinking about signing David Raum (24/Hoffenheim)…
