Collin Morikawa returns to the British Open to defend his 2021 title.
Collin Morikawa he looks to defend his title at the British Open golf tournament, which begins on Thursday, July 14.
The tournament will be televised on USA Network (Thursday-Sunday) and NBC (Saturday-Sunday), with daily coverage also airing live on Peacock Premium.

2022 British Open Golf Preview
Defending British Open champion Collin Morikawa doesn’t want to live with a replica Claret Jug trophy for the next year.

Ranked No. 2 on the PGA Tour, Rory Mcllory knows St. Andrews well. He comes in as a contender to win the British Open this year.
“You don’t have to do anything special” Mcllory said via BBC Northern Ireland. “You just have to play some boring golf, but if I can do it for four days, then I’ll have a good chance.”
“St Andrews is a golf course where you think you can shoot 66 every time you play it,” McIlroy according to BBC Northern Ireland. “I know better than that and you can’t be too greedy. Be smart with your second shots, don’t take too much and if you do there will always be opportunities.”
Xander Schauffele, No. 5 on the PGA tour, could also make a run at the British Open title. Schauffele enters the tournament off the back of a win at the Scottish Open from July 7-10.
“I have never played at St Andrews. I’ve never played on the Old Course, so I have a lot of homework to do.” dijo Schauffele traversed by Rex Hoggard of NBC Golf Channel. “I’m going to rely a lot on my caddy to do that. I’m tired. I’ve played a bit and I need to rest and prepare for the week.”
