América de Cali would play matches outside of Pascual Guerrero: they cross paths with Copa América | Colombian Soccer | Betplay League

Next Friday, July 8, the Copa América Femenina will begin, and the city of Cali with its Pascual Guerrero stadium, will host group A matches that make up the Colombian National Team. The capital of Valle del Cauca responded with support for the tricolor in recent friendlies and earned the right to be ‘the home of the women’s team’.

Regarding this important event at the national team level, there is something that worries several Colombian soccer clubs and it is that the realization of this tournament intersects with some days in the League and the Betplay Tournament. Cali, Armenia and Bucaramanga are the venues for the Cup.

Precisely on this subject, the largest shareholder of the ‘Red Devils’, Tulio Gómez, mentioned that they will play matches in places other than Cali, so they do not contemplate postponing them as will happen with Atlético Bucaramanga, which announced this Saturday that the matches of date 1 and date 3 against Águilas Doradas and América, respectively, will be rescheduled due to the preparations being made at the Alfonso López stadium.

The manager mentioned in a chat with the program Smoke Free Zone that Palmira and Tuluá are the alternatives that they handle for the matches that they would have to play at home and that they will not be able to play at the Pascual Guerrero. “In Palmira or in Tuluá we would play the games, we are squaring that issue.”

On the other hand, Tulio Gómez referred to the future of Venezuelan goalkeeper Joel Graterol, whom they will try to keep at the club. “The idea is that Graterol stays, he is a vital piece, fortunately we have very good goalkeepers.”
