“I am very happy to continue the adventure at Estac, after having contributed to obtaining historic support for the club last season. I am proud to continue to share my values and my experience within the club and feel ready to take up the challenges that await me.”explains the 36-year-old central defender.
The former Lille and Marseille player arrived in Troyes last summer to relaunch himself in the French championship. He had played 17 league games and scored 3 goals during a season during which he was injured several times.
But his experience, his personality and his qualities on the ground made Adil Rami, who had even recovered the captain’s armband in January, an essential pawn of Estac.
“Since he arrived at the club, Adil has met everyone’s expectations and has been exemplary on and off the pitch, appreciates sports director François Vitali. His professionalism, his experience at the highest level and his leadership greatly contributed to keeping the team in Ligue 1 last season.
Troyes will begin its second consecutive exercise in the elite on the lawn of Montpellier, next Sunday August 7 (3:00 p.m.).
