LATINA – Speaking is Gianni Chiavetta, Manager of the Medical Pontino in Latina who recently talked about his commitment and dedication to two projects related to the world of basketball, young people and above all inclusivity such as “Lionesses” e “In-Team“.
“Our goal is to promote the health and well-being of people who decide to rely on our Center. What better thing, then, than to combine our name with that of two important youth projects such as “Leonesse” and “In-Team”? ” Chiavetta began.
While the Asd Leonesse Latina is a sports association dedicated to teaching women’s minibasketball, the InTeam project is instead a “per-course” of inclusive basketball aimed at people with typical and atypical development of both sexes aged between between 6-11 years for the Kids group, from 12-15 years for the Junior group and from 16 years upwards for the Seniors group. The InTeam project was born in October 2020 and aims to raise awareness of the issue of social inclusion through a path aimed at spreading sports activity with a focus on basketball in the Latina area.
“Believe me, we did not hesitate for a moment to combine our name with these two projects, also because a deep friendship binds us with Giorgio Tasciotti“Chiavetta continued:”Young people represent the future and basketball is a sport that brings together much more than many other disciplines. We are delighted to have married these two projects and we want to ensure that this synergy can lead, over the years, to ever better results. The culture of health is something that is too often underestimated. On a sporting level, in this case in basketball, it is of vital importance for the growth of a young person. I believe that this combination can, in this regard, make us understand many things. It is no coincidence that the Medical Pontino wanted to marry the two projects knowing that there are young growing basketball players involved. Not to mention inclusivity, which we deeply believe in and In-Team, from this point of view, is an example to follow and we are doing it.“.
