Warriors, NBA Finals 2022: Game 4 home preview

No sooner has Game 3 been analyzed and dissected than it’s already time for Game 4. Yeah, things are going fast in the NBA and it would be better for the Warriors if they won tonight in Boston to prevent these Finals from just end too quick. Because in the event of another defeat at TD Garden, we would be very close to the outcome.

Well, we’re not going to cut corners, Golden State must win Game 4 to continue to believe in the ring. Yes, we know it takes four wins in total to crown a winner, but it’s hard to imagine the Warriors hitting that version of the Celtics three times in a row to pull off an incredible comeback after being down 3-1. Not that we doubt the champion’s DNA that characterizes Steve Kerr’s training, it’s just that it’s too solid, too physical, too athletic in front to be able to survive in the event of a new setback on the floor of the TD Garden. The time is now as they say on the other side of the Atlantic, and it will be up to Stephen Curry’s gang to tear themselves away in an attempt to recover the advantage of the field and give themselves some air in this final series of the season. The good news on the Dubs side is that Steph will be fine on the court and ready to unleash a new madness to wear his own. We could have had some doubts after his sore foot at the end of Game 3, which gave Golden State supporters a lot of cold sweats. Fortunately, Curry’s reassuring words at the end of the match were fairly quickly confirmed by news from two or three renowned insiders, and we can therefore hope to see a Steph on his feet for this crucial match.

But obviously, as great as he is, Stephen Curry will not be able to carry the Warriors alone tonight. He will need his Splash Bro Klay Thompson, who finally woke up in Game 3 and who will have to confirm – or even do better – in the fourth inning this Friday. If Game 6 Klay could become Game 4 Klay, that would be pretty good for Golden State. But what would be especially not bad, it is that Draymond Green becomes Draymond Green again. Because if the big mouth is always there non-stop, its impact tends to disappear every other match. Then will have to move seriously Mister Draymond. In the hostile environment of Boston which should once again offer a hell of a welcoming committee to Green, the latter will have to raise his voice to help his team meet the physical challenge imposed by the Celtics. This challenge could be a little less difficult to meet if ever Robert Williams III is not in good shape because of his knee, Game 4 taking place only 48 hours after Game 3. Casually, it can be important . In any case it is only through a collective effort that the Warriors will manage to return to the series. Of course they will need a big Steph, but behind everyone must follow: Klay, Dray, Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, Kevon Looney… everyone must bring their A-Game because those Celtics are clearly starting to smell blood.

See you at 3 a.m. tonight for a Game 4 XXL which risks defining the rest of the series. A victory for the Celtics and Boston can begin to prepare plans for the parade. A victory for the Warriors and the whole dynamic of the series will be reversed. To make it short, we are simply in front of the most important game of the 2021-22 NBA season. Im-missable.
