Molano slaps another runner in the middle of the race and is disqualified from the Dauphiné! (videos)

Colombian sprinter Juan Sebastian Molano was guilty of a bad move this Friday at the Critérium du Dauphiné, which earned him a disqualification from the race.

Less than ten kilometers from the finish, Molano got angry on Hugo Page, wearer of the green jersey, author of an involuntary gap. The Colombian then climbed up to the height of the Frenchman, before hitting him in the face, which almost knocked him off his bike.

“We don’t do that, he’s crazy,” the Frenchman got angry after the stage. “Just because I’m twenty doesn’t mean he has to do something like that. Ten kilometers from the finish, he suddenly approached me and scolded me, because he thought I was cutting the road. But it wasn’t like that at all. He didn’t even apologize, ”he continued, in comments relayed by Het Nieuwsblad.

This ugly gesture finally earned the disqualification for Molano, who still apologized after the race. “In the race, it went quickly. In the heat of the moment, I made a dangerous mistake. I want to apologize to Hugo Page and all the other riders for what happened. I understand that I was disqualified and I can only say that I regret it and that I will learn from my mistake,” said the UAE Emirates rider.
