WINGER The Indonesian national team, Witan Sulaeman, told the Indonesian national team’s qualification for the 2023 Asian Cup to Lechia Gdansk player, Kristers Tobers. The moment was uploaded to Lechia Gdansk’s YouTube account on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

Witan Sulaeman has just returned to Lechia Gdansk after having been on loan at FK Senica for six months. Not only that, the Palu-born player is also busy with the solid agenda of the Indonesian national team at the 2021 SEA Games and the 2023 Asian Cup Qualification.

Upon his return to Lechia Gdansk, Witan Sulaeman told of the success of the Indonesian national team which managed to qualify for the 2023 Asian Cup. Tobers carefully listened to the success story of the Indonesian national team that was told by Witan Sulaeman in English.

“I was (previously) at FK Senica, Slovakia. Now I’m back after the loan period ends,” said Witan opening a conversation with Tobers, quoted from the Lechia Gdansk Youtube account (Lechia Gdansk), Wednesday (22/6/2022).

“I went to the training camp (Lechia) after bringing the Indonesian national team to qualify for the Asian Cup (2023). In three matches we won two matches. We passed the qualification so we are satisfied. Now I am back,” added the player who dropped out of SKO Ragunan.

The Indonesian national team has indeed managed to qualify for the 2023 Asian Cup dramatically. Shin Tae-yong’s squad beat Kuwait (2-1), and Nepal (7-0), although they had lost to Jordan (0-1). The Garuda squad also qualified for the Asian Cup for the first time after a 16-year absence.

Witan Sulaeman is now hoping to get playing time with Lechia Gdansk. The 20-year-old is currently undergoing a training camp (TC) with other Lechia Gdansk players in Cetniewo, Poland.

“Now that I’m back, I’m ready to play,” said Witan.

“In the first few days we (Witan and Tobers) will undergo an introduction to team training. I hope to get the opportunity to play for Lechia Gdansk,” explained Witan Sulaeman.

This season, Lechia Gdansk has the potential to appear in the 2022-2023 European Conference League after finishing in fourth place in the 2021-2022 Polish League. However, Lechia Gdansk must pass the qualification first. In Qualifier I, Lechia Gdansk will face representatives of North Macedonia, Akademija Pandev on 7 and 14 July 2022.
