U18 European Championship: Mecklenburg wins first medal

After two wins at the start, Tabea Mecklenburg had to admit defeat to Swede Tara Babulfath in the fight for the pool win. In the consolation round, however, the young Brandenburg native was able to motivate herself again and achieved the bronze medal with two wins by Yuliia Shtefaniak from the Ukraine and Alessandra Rocco (Italy).

A top ten athlete was waiting here with the Polish Wiktoria Slazok. In the regular fighting time, the athlete from the UJKC Potsdam managed to gain a superiority and deservedly won in the end.
