Minister of Sports and Youth Hugues Ngouélondélé said that“there are not two judo federations in the Congo, but one and only one”in response to the letter from the Secretary General of the International Judo Federation (IJF) dated March 1, 2022.
In this correspondence, the IJF Secretary General proposes the resumption of the elective General Assembly, marking the cancellation of that organized by the Standardization Committee (Ministry of Sports) and the Congolese National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSC) on 04 September 2021.
This elective general assembly followed that organized by the outgoing president of the Congolese judo federation and associated disciplines (Fécoju-DA) Marien Ikama on February 17, 2021 and whose results were invalidated by the Ministry of Sports for violation of the texts in force. .

It is in this sense that the Ministry of Sports jointly with the CNOSC organized the Elective General Assembly on September 04, 2021 which resulted in the election of the new office of the Fécoju-DA with President Ata Assiokarah Neyl Francis.
« The Ministry of Sports recognized the results of the elective general assembly whose polling station was under the supervision of the CNOSC. It should be noted that the Congolese authorities did not support any candidate, but worked to respect the texts in force. », Indicates the correspondence (June 22, 2022) of the Minister of Sports addressed to the President of the IJF.
The new office of the Fécoju-DA has since its election on September 04, 2021 organized many activities at the national level, namely the restructuring of the leagues, the establishment of new leagues, the organization of departmental championships and the training of technical officials. .
« There are therefore not two judo federations in the Congo, but one and only one, public service delegate, whose office is the result of the elective General Assembly of September 04, 2021, having been headed by Mr. Ata Assiokarah Neyl Francis »said Hugues Ngouélondélé.
