Sporting and Christophe Dessy will separate

The roads of the Sporting de Charleroi and Christophe Dessy youth school will separate by mutual agreement. After a little over a year as sports director of training, the former youth coordinator of Standard and Mons will indeed leave the banks of the Sambre. While he is recognized for having undeniable footballing qualities, he had more difficulty establishing himself on a human level and his relationship with the director of the school for young people Alain Decuyper, in particular, was not easy.

Strong personality, his premature departure confirms the difficulties of Christophe Dessy to settle in the long term while Sporting hoped that this would be the case after various and varied experiences. The Carolingian club will therefore have to try to replace him as best as possible in the coming weeks as more and more young people from the Caroling training have shown up in the first team under the orders of Edward Still.

Abder Ramdane, T1 of the U23s

Moreover, while Carol’s idea was to entrust the reins of his U23 team to Samba Diawara, the latter’s departure to Anderlecht changed the situation. After having notably met Flavien Le Postollec – but who still lacks a few boards in a professional staff – the club could well find an internal solution. Abder Ramdane, who has the UEFA Pro license, should leave the U18s to take charge of the U23s in N1 next season. Former assistant to Luka Elsner at Union and Amiens, Abder Ramdane had been seduced by the carolo project when he had met the Sambrian management with Luka Elsner in 2019. Although the discussions were not successful then, the Frenchman from The 48-year-old joined the RCSC youth school last season.
