Pablo Abián was the first Spaniard to play his semifinal, in which he faced the Turkish Emre Lale. The Aragonese, who defends the gold won in Tarragona 2018, has once again shown why he started as the favorite for the title and has defeated Lale in two sets (21-16 and 21-18).
