Traditionally organized on the Pentecost weekend, the Junior Judo Club Sainsois tournament took place this year. The club took out its tatamis after three years of absence, due to the Covid context. This edition was held on Monday, at the sports complex where a dozen clubs from the region but also from Outre-quiévrain met in the improvised dojo for the occasion. At the rate of two hours per category, the judokas took turns on the two competition mats.
The race started with the youngest, followed by the chicks. Then came the pre-chicks and finally the babies. It was children, aged 5 to 12, who competed encouraged by a large crowd. Each participant was rewarded. The classification by club gives us: first with 40 victories Glageon-Étroeungt, second Maubeuge AJ59 with 37 victories while third place goes, with 31 victories, to Arts Martials Maubeuge. Sains-du-Nord ranks fifth with 18 victories.
Contacts: Randolph Bufi, 06 32 57 84 97. Classes are held every Tuesday and Friday.
