Andreas Seppi has reached the quarter finals at the Challenger tournament in Ilkley (Great Britain).

Seppi (ATP 151) defeated the Portuguese Nuno Borges (ATP 128) relatively clearly in two sets with 6: 4 and 7: 5 in the round of 16. In the round of the last eight, the Kalterer veteran meets the winner of the game between the experienced Briton Daniel Cox (ATP 505) and the young Belgian Zizou Bergs (ATP 207).
Seppi showed his whole class on his favorite surface on Thursday in the northern English spa town. The lawn specialist serviced its 25-year-old competitor a total of five times. In addition, the 38-year-old from Überetsch didn’t let himself be thrown off course by a quick 0:2 lead by Borges. After 1:37 hours of play, Seppi closed the bag.
