Lukaku is officially back at Inter: ‘A strong emotion’

Lukaku is back! A year after leaving Lombardy for a new experience at Chelsea, the Belgian returns to Inter on an eight million loan.

“I’m very happy,” the 29-year-old striker said as he landed in Milan on Wednesday morning. After a complicated season in London and a difficult relationship with Thomas Tuchel, Big Rom finds a club with which he shone and won the Scudetto. He will also be able to reform the “LuLa” duo, alongside Lautaro Martinez at the forefront of the internal attack.

“It’s a strong emotion, I think what I experienced a year ago with this team was a great story,” Lukaku told Inter Milan TV on Wednesday. “For the team, for the fans and also for me. Inter have given me so much. It’s time to work together again and try to do even better.”

“It seemed impossible for me to come back here, but we made it and for that I also have to thank whoever kept pushing and believing it was possible. In the end we made it, I’m very happy,” said added Lukaku hailing the efforts of the Inter president.

Romelu Lukaku has never really disconnected from Inter admitting to having stayed in touch with Simone Inzaghi all last season. “I saw the team play at a very good level last year. I was sorry not to see them win the title, but they still won two important trophies. The players have improved and we will be able to challenge everyone I think.”

The tifosis still expect a lot from Romelu Lukaku, author of 64 goals in 95 matches in the jersey of Inter and have never forgotten him.

“I am not selfish, I always think about the team. I want Inter to win. I will do everything possible in training and on the pitch to make Inter win. I am happy to be back here. I will give everything every day to make the fans and my teammates happy.”
