Liv Golf finally unveils its first set

After months of palaver, more or less smoky announcements and not really unbearable suspense, the first tournament of the LIV Golf Invitational Series tournament has revealed the names of 42 of the 48 players invited for its first London event from June 9 to 11. .

First major surprise, the presence of former world No. 1 Dustin Johnson who had clearly announced his intention to remain faithful to the PGA Tour. The current planetary No. 13 is also the seed of the tournament. And he is not the only winner of the Masters to present himself at the start since Sergio Garcia and Charl Schwartzel are also at the party. Louis Oosthuizen, winner of the 2010 British Open, also responded, as did Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood.

4 players from the World Top 50 are present for this first tournament. 16 members of the planetary top 100 are in the entry list.

The last six invitations will be communicated on June 6 to finalize the field which will compete on the Centurion Club in London.

Note that no Frenchman is currently on the list. On the other hand, well-known names from the European Tour such as Martin Kaymer, Bernd Wiesberger, Adrian Otaegui, Pablo Larrazabal or Graeme McDowell will be there. Three amateur players are also in the starting blocks: 15-year-old Thai Ratchanon Chantananuwat, American James Piot (US amateur champion) and Spaniard David Puig.
