Empresas Polar resumes face-to-face activities at its Sports Development Center, located in the San Joaquín municipality of Carabobo state, hand in hand with two great allies: Major League Baseball, MLB, and the Venezuelan first division soccer team Carabobo Fútbol Club.
This specialized center, which reaches its 13th year of operation on July 9, promotes the talent of athletes from minor to professional categories, also contributes to the formation and growth of Venezuelan sports with facilities that are maintained with high quality standards.
In a press conference held at the CDDEP, Carlos Martínez, manager of Sports Marketing at Empresas Polar, explained the new contributions and alliances that contribute to the growth of Venezuelan athletes from these sports facilities.
He announced the installation and commissioning of the TrackMan measurement system in one of the CDDEP camps. It is a fixed unit, unique in the country, a state-of-the-art B3 model, which is used to collect metric data from baseball prospects.
“We are very happy and proud to restart face-to-face activities with this new measurement device, which is the first and only one in Venezuela provided and endorsed by MLB, for the use of its 30 teams, for the benefit of all the players who develop their skills. sports in Venezuela.
He explained that this unit collects all the metric information that is used today to project the skills of each of the players, through technology currently used by Major League teams.
“At Empresas Polar we are immensely excited to strengthen the support we have provided, for more than 80 years, to baseball players in the country and now even more so with this alliance we have with MLB,” said Carlos Martínez.
As a pilot plan for putting the Trackman system into operation, the Latin American Development League was launched at the CDDEP, which will last two months with the participation of more than 450 players.

Martínez also announced that the Venezuelan professional first division team Carabobo Fútbol Club will hold training sessions for all its categories in these fields.

The first division coaching staff of the Carabobo Fútbol Club kicked off this new alliance with a sports clinic aimed at 50 athletes from the under 14 category belonging to the Madeirense Club and the Itaka Foundation of Valencia, in order to reinforce techniques and tactics in the football management and contribute to the social commitment and development of minor sport.
