After seven days, Atlético Nacional returned to victory in the I-2022 League. The purslane team played a great game against Bucaramanga and settled it 4-1. One of the team’s captains, Alexander Mejía, praised the group effort to prevail in a complicated game.
“The most important thing is the variability that the group has. In this game, the movement of the ball was key, there was mobility and despite their draw, we knew how to correct, we didn’t fall, we didn’t lose patience and with the 2-1 we had a break”, said Mejía.
In addition, “it is difficult to play against teams that have one less player, they make very strong movements. The changes took effect, the reaction was positive in the team, we corrected details and we continue to depend on ourselves”.
Regarding the atmosphere in the stadium, where nearly 32,000 spectators accompanied them to obtain the result, Alexander specified that “being in Nacional generates a lot of pressure, our reaction is positive, with our people. Your support is fundamental, we depend on us, we are committed, the path is very clear and this is a starting point”.
Finally, the player declared that “we have a team with many variants that help us grow and a structure that can vary. This is what I see happening in the team”.
