Borussia Mönchengladbach: Everything boils down to Daniel Farke – Bundesliga

National player Jonas Hofmann (29) had wished in a press conference at the DFB on Wednesday when asked about the Gladbach coach search: “It would help everyone that this topic is clarified quickly so that everyone can make their plans.”

His wish will now be granted!

BILD had already reported that after the surprising rejection of Lucien Favre (64), Daniel Farke (45) and Vincent Kompany (36) are now the top candidates to succeed Adi Hütter (52). According to consistent media reports, talks with Farke are now about to be concluded. Also because Kompany is now more likely to be drawn to England for Burnley FC.

Who is this color actually?

A coach who will work in the Bundesliga for the first time. Farke earned a solid reputation in the industry as manager of Norwich City, where he worked from 2017 to November 2021. The 45-year-old led the “Canaries” first into the Premier League and then straight up again after relegation.

Farke ended his engagement in Krasnodar in early March after the start of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine. In an interview with the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” Farke recently explained how he imagines his next task as a coach!

Farke: “I like it when I can take a club to a higher level. For example: forming a team from a middle-class club that can play in Europe. Or turning a Europa League team into a Champions League team. The next step, the next level and bringing a winning mentality to a team, to a club: that’s what appeals to me.”

Points that certainly apply to Gladbach!
