BC hangs the silver in Nationals tennis

Baja California obtained its first victory in tennis at the Conade 2022 Nationals, by obtaining the silver medal in the mixed couples modality with Sergio Garín and Ana Lucía Granados.
The Baja Californian duo took second national place at the Rosarito High Performance Center, after falling in a final of mutual power against Veracruz in the Sub 15 category.
Garín and Granados arrived determined to make history in this sport, fighting every action against the Veracruz couple made up of Marcelo Gallegos and Maribel Aguilar, showing great understanding on the field, to win the duel with partials of 7-6 and 6-1. .
Baja California suffered some setbacks in the match, such as Sergio Garín’s ankle injury in the first set, who after being treated by the medical staff showed his strength and returned to the charge to give his best in the match.
The bronze in this category went to Querétaro with Guillermo Narcio and Andrea Cadena, and the “B” couple from Veracruz with Julio Zárate and Alexa Meraz also went up to receive the bronze, who lost in the semifinals to Garín-Granados from Ensenada.
