A commercial plane marked with the logo and colors of the Boston Celtics team landed this Saturday afternoon at the Gregorio Luperón International Airport in Puerto Plata.
It’s about a tribute from airline Jetblue to the team in which Al Horford plays, the first Dominican player to participate in a final of the NBA.
The plane traveled from Boston, United States, to Puerto Plata, the hometown of the Dominican basketball player.
The Boston-Puerto Plata route was established in May this year to promote tourism. It is estimated that some 1,300 passengers per month will be mobilized.
The Dominican Al Horford, in addition to the merits for his performance, which was key to the victory of the Boston Celtics in the first game of the Final of the NBAentered history by becoming the oldest player with six triples in the final part of the championship.
