Yankees’ Jake Sanford cut for stealing gear from minor league teammates and cheating fans out of money online

THE Yankees have cut former third-round pick Jake Sanford over allegations he stole gear from his minor league teammates to sell online.

The New York team reportedly cut Sanford last Thursday after it was revealed the 24-year-old was “repeatedly stalking teammates over their gear,” as reported by NJ.com.

Sanford, who played college baseball in western Kentucky, was also accused of accepting money from buyers who wanted the gear before he failed to deliver the items.

Sanford deleted his Twitter following the release.

Upon his draft in 2019, he received a $597,000 signing bonus.
