Workshops made history!

Talleres has to thank an external factor and inflate his chest for his own values. From the outside he received a big hand from Flamengo for his victory over the Católica de Chile. Inside he was saved by Guido Herrera, his goalkeeper, thanks to his determined covers. And later, there was another unavoidable resource: he knew how to defend his advantage with pure heart during almost the entire second half that he had 10 men for the red against Michael Santos. On these arguments, Talleres left a mark in the books: he got into his history for the first time in the second round of the Libertadores.

Before reaching the celebration, the Portuguese team Pedro Caixinha had to go through hot flashes, in Peru, even when they were 11 against 11. Sporting did not create danger every time, but it did come clearly. And he outplayed him. The Peruvians controlled the ball, they prevailed in the middle, they moved it from one side to the other. The double five, Castillo and Yotún, worked. Ávila caused concern with unchecking and exits from the area on the sides, Gonzáles and Sosa contributed their own.

In any case, Mosquera’s men did not create a danger according to the time they handled the ball. The T had little, but had some good moments. Few were. After starting with pressure in three quarters, he went back and began to bet on spaces. He attacked them when I can, with a fast game, and he was presented with a couple of options. A header from Girotti and a cross from Fértoli (in the visitor’s only good collective move) went very close in the first half.

Already with 10, Talleres resisted near his goal and prayed for a counter that he could never hit. But although Sporting monopolized the ball, they could not find the spaces due to their lack of surprise and hardly hurt. With a lot of solidarity in the brand, Talleres recovered meters from their own area and frustrated Sporting. It cost him but he made history with this golden point.
