Women’s football – Marozsan is missing at the EM – Sport

Due to a cruciate ligament rupture, German playmaker Dzsenifer Marozsan will miss the European Championships in England from July 6th to 31st. As the German Football Association announced on Friday, the 30-year-old from Olympique Lyon suffered the injury in the surprising 2-3 defeat of the German selection in the World Cup qualifier in Serbia in mid-April. Maroszan had meanwhile been operated on. The 2016 Olympic champion and 111-time national player had already missed the Arnold Clark Cup in February due to a thigh injury and only returned to the team of national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg. Maroszan now also misses the Champions League final with her French club on May 21 in Turin against FC Barcelona.
