With the participation of Latvian athletes, the European Autocross Championship will start on the Mūsa track

June will be opened with the biggest autocross competition in Latvia, the first stage of the FIA ​​European Autocross Championship 2022 season. 4.-5. In June, both the strongest Latvian autocross riders and competitors from ten different European countries will compete on the legendary “Mūsa Raceland” track.

The competition will run for two days, on Saturday 4 June and Sunday 5 June. This year, the participants of the European Championship will compete in four buggy classes: “Super Buggy”, “Buggy 1600”, “Junior Buggy”, and “CrossCar”. The lists of participants also show the applications of domestic athletes for participation in the European Championship. It is currently known that Latvian fans will be delighted by four strong motorists, Kristiāns Grencis in the “Junior Buggy” class, Ervins Grencis and Māris Līcis in the “Super Buggy” class, and Reinis Nitišs, a rallycross driver, in the new “Cross-car” class.

In parallel with the European race, there will be a national autocross cup, in which two classes of passenger cars “National 2000” and “Supercar national” will start. So far, Latvian as well as Lithuanian athletes have applied for participation, including Tomas Edušs from Baušķeni, as well as last year’s Latvian rallycross champion Ivo Gabrāns and autocross champions Armands Plūme and Dāvis Ūdris.
