It has cost a lot of sweat and a few tears, but Everton will play in the Premier League next season. Frank Lampard’s team corrected a crooked situation against Crystal Palace. Burnley also celebrated a small party in the relegation battle tonight.

The nerves in the blue part of Liverpool were tense for the arrival of Crystal Palace. With a win, Frank Lampard’s troubled players continued to play football in the Premier League for another year.

So a lot was at stake. Not surprising that after 2 minutes the match was already startled by a (k) riot between Zaha and Gordon.

The visitors thrived in the hostile atmosphere at Goodison Park and gave Everton trembling knees. At halftime, Mateta and Ayew signed for a comfortable 0-2 lead.

Everton appeared to be going strong for preservation on the final day of play, until Keane scored the goal with the outside of his left foot. Richarlison was inspired by his defender’s magic trick, scored and fell into the arms of trainer Lampard.

The home team was alive again. Especially when Calvert-Lewin brought the stadium into ecstasy with the winning goal: good for an extended stay in the Premier League.

Burnley with good papers towards final match day

Leeds United and Burnley are on the brink of relegation in England. The latter was given a move to Aston Villa, one point behind “safe” place 17.

Barnes stirred up Burnley on the stroke of half-time, but Buendia dampened that joy shortly after half-time. The visitors held on to the tip in their back pocket with all their might, resulting in a red card for Lowton;

But Burnley succeeded in his aim: to grab a point and thus enter the last day of play in 17th place in the Premier League, with a number of points as Leeds. Tension trumps on the last day of play.
