Wf football didn’t have Jürgen Klopp, football would have to invent Jürgen Klopp. At a time when state-funded and controlled clubs like Manchester City and Paris St. Germain want to control the game with all their might, you simply cannot say it loud and clear enough: the German self-made coach is one of the greatest gifts that football has made in this century.
A random career that didn’t come about in any coaching academy or manager forge, but provides the material from which football textbooks and Hollywood screenplays are made. A “Normal One” who lets the world dream, who leaves a lasting impression, whether in Liverpool, Dortmund or Mainz. Someone who pushes boundaries. Who makes himself, his teams and his clubs the best version of themselves. Priceless.
