The Secretary of Education, Luis Arturo Cornejo Alatorre, accompanied by Germán Villa Castañeda, general director of the Institute of Sport and Physical Culture of the State of Morelos (Indem), and Álvaro Reyna Reyes, director of sports at the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos (UAEM), flagged the delegation from Morelos that will attend the 2022 National Universiade.
Cornejo Alatorre exhorted the young people to put the name of Morelos and the UAEM high, leaving the best of themselves in each competition, in addition, he recognized the effort they put forth during their training sessions, as well as in the classrooms, which has led them to be part of this select group of athletes.
For his part, Germán Villa assured that, from the State Government, through Indem, sport is promoted and supported in all its categories; Likewise, he thanked the parents who every day encourage and encourage students to practice some sport as part of their comprehensive education.
The university sports fair will be held from May 12 to June 5 in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua and 60 students will participate in seven individual disciplines: judo, tae kwon do, archery, chess, badminton, athletics and weightlifting; and four team sports: handball and soccer in the women’s category, as well as indoor and beach volleyball for men.
