Rodionov wins Challenger in Mauthausen and is Austria’s new number 1 – tennis

Mauthausen – Jurij Rodionov celebrated his fifth title on the Tennis Challenger Tour on Sunday. The 22-year-old from Lower Austria kept the upper hand at the home tournament in Mauthausen in the final against the number two seeded Czech Jiri Lehecka (ATP No. 88), who had previously thrown Dennis Novak out of the competition, with 6: 4.6: 4. Thanks to his second tournament victory in the current season after that in Biel, the ÖTV player will be Austria’s new number one in the ranking from Monday.
