Julianne Bédard and Noémie Bédard won the bronze medal in badminton at the provincial school championship held in Pierrefonds (Montreal).
This competition, canceled two years ago due to COVID-19, brought together the best players from each section of Quebec. Representing the Eastern Townships section, Julianne and Noémie had to qualify during the round robin on Saturday in order to participate in the medal round which took place on Sunday, which they succeeded.
They then lost in the semi-finals to finally win the bronze medal in the double cadet in three games. It was a balm for the two players who had qualified for the Quebec Games which could not take place due to sanitary measures.
